Paper Format
In compliance with the decision by the General Assembly, we hereby inform that failure to attend any meeting held under the sponsorship and in the ANPAD environment, for the presentation of an accepted paper, will result in the author(s) being unable to submit papers for any of the coming year's meetings.
Note: The papers will be submitted exclusively through the Internet, by midnight the latest (official Brasília time zone) on March 2, 2009, through the ANPAD website, where the following will be available: 1. Identification fields. 2. Instructions for forwarding the electronic file with the paper (title, abstract and body of the text without the authors' identification).
Before sending the papers, make sure that the files are not infected with a virus, carefully examining them with an updated antivirus program. Papers that do not meet these specifications will be excluded.
The paper should be submitted with the following specifications:
Text Editor • Office Word 97 or a later version
Page Configuration • Paper size: A4 (29.7 cm x 21 cm) • Upper margin: 3 cm • Lower margin: 2 cm • Left margin: 3 cm • Right margin: 2 cm
Text Configuration • Font Times New Roman, size 12 • Space between characters, words and lines: simple • When numbering the pages, use the footnote and not the letterhead • Number of pages: a minimum of 8 (eight), a maximum of 16 (sixteen), including illustrations, bibliography and notes at the end of the text.
Content of the First Page • Paper title, with all the main words started with uppercase letters. • Paper abstract, with a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 20 lines, in a single paragraph, in the same language as the paper, containing: the objective, a brief mention of the theoretical framework of reference, methodology, results and conclusions (without abstract). • The start of the text body (of the actual paper).
In the act of submitting the papers, the inclusion of all the authors should be done with the names in full at the time of the upload. Under no circumstance whatsoever will an author be included after submission.
Notes • No footnotes will be accepted; these should be included as endnotes. • Illustrations, tables and graphics: developed in Excel or Power Point and embedded in Word (read further on how to embed these items), with the Times New Roman, size 10 font.
In order to embed illustrations, tables or graphics in Word
A. If the table or graphic was copied from Excel: 1. In Excel, select the graphic, illustration, figure or table and then the menu “Edit”, “Copy”. 2. In Word, click where you want the object to be embedded. In the “Edit” menu, select “Special paste”. 3. In the “Special paste" window, select the option “Paste”, “As” and “Figure or image (Enhanced Metafile)”. Click “OK”. 4. Lastly, save the file using the option “File”, “Save As”. This procedure will ensure that the Word file containing the item maintains a small size, even after the insertion of objects and drawings.
B. If a table or graphic is copied from other software (Word, Internet Explorer...): 1. Select the graphic, illustration, figure or table and then the menu “Edit”, “Copy”. 2. In Word, click where you want the object to be embedded. In the “Edit” menu, select “Special paste”. 3. In the “Special paste" window, select the option “Paste”, “As” and “Figure or image”. Click “OK”.
C. If the graphic or image is a lose file, JPG/GIF format: 1. In Word, click where you want the object to be embedded. 2. In the “Insert” menu, select “Image”, then select “File name…”. 3. Select the desired image and click “OK”.
• It is not necessary to include key-words. • The author’s registration should be done with the full name only at the time of the upload/submission. • We suggest that the file size be no larger than 1 megabyte, avoiding papers that require software not contained by Microsoft Office for full visualization.
Important: the papers may not contain, under any circumstances, any identification; those whose authorship are identified will be excluded from the event. For this reason, make sure that your paper does not contain explicit identification (name typed in the body of the paper or its abstract), including hidden identification.
