ANPAD - National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Administration develops consistent work in the promotion of education, research and the production of knowledge within the field of administrative, accounting and related sciences in Brazil. It brings together stricto sensu graduate study programs, representing the interests of affiliated institutions that represent public opinion. It also serves as an interface organ of programs of interest to the scientific community and governmental bodies responsible for overseeing education and scientific and technological development of our country.
Founded in 1976, through the initiative of the eight graduate study programs in existence in Brazil at that time, ANPAD is currently the leading integration body between associate programs, research groups in the field and the international community. Its solid performance and the considerable increase in the number of graduate courses on offer has resulted in the Association celebrating its 30 years of activities by bringing together more than 60 associate programs in an internationally recognized academic community.
With the goal of contributing to the exercise of democracy and active citizenship, ANPAD has distinct theoretical positions within the scientific field of administrative, accounting and related sciences, and is known as an important platform for dialogue, academic debates and social interaction.
Academic Divisions and Themes of Interest
In order to stimulate various discussions concerning the themes related to the field of administrative, accounting, and related sciences, ANPAD is divided into Academic Divisions that unite several Themes of scientific interest. These themes correspond broadly to the distinct spheres that make up the administration of public and private organizations as well as those of the tertiary sector.
The divisions follow the dynamism that is inherent to scientific discussions with the intent of stimulating networks of common academic and scientific interests, creating a privileged forum of debates among professors, researchers, and graduate study students. The individual associates of ANPAD choose to join a certain Academic Division of their interest, while the associate programs are connected to all of them.
